We are pleased to invite scholars, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to participate in this international conference examining the complex challenges of migration and asylum in times of crisis. This three-day event will bring together diverse perspectives to advance our understanding of migration phenomena and develop effective, humanitarian responses.
Conference Overview
The International Conference on Migration and Asylum aims to analyze the evolution of migratory phenomena within a global context marked by the rise of multiple crises—climatic, political, health-related, and security-based. The conference will particularly explore emerging issues related to the protection of migrants, border governance, international solidarity, and the responsibilities of states and non-state actors.

Why This Conference Matters
According to the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the number of international migrants in the world exceeded 304 million in 2024, a figure that has almost doubled since 1990. Among these are 100 million people forcibly displaced from their homelands, including refugees, internally displaced persons, stateless persons, and asylum seekers. This conference addresses the urgent need for effective, radical solutions to one of humanity's most complex challenges.
